Terms of Service

Effective Date: 10.12.25

Welcome to The Behavioral Health Billing Institute (“BHBI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using our website (www.bhbinstitute.com), online courses, materials, or related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use our Services.

1. General Information

BHBI provides online education and certification programs focused on behavioral health billing and revenue cycle management.
All course content, materials, and related intellectual property are owned by BHBI and are intended for personal, non-commercial educational use by enrolled students only.

2. Eligibility

By using our Services, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age (or have reached the age of majority in your state or country of residence).

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

  • You will use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Account Registration and Access

To enroll in our courses, you must create an account through our learning management system (LMS).
You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account;

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials; and

  • Accept full responsibility for any activity that occurs under your account.

BHBI reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if it determines, at its sole discretion, that account activity violates these Terms or threatens the security of our platform.

4. Course Access and Usage

Upon purchase, students receive access to the purchased course(s) and related materials.
Access is granted to the registered student only and may not be:

  • Shared, sold, transferred, or assigned to another person;

  • Distributed, reproduced, or uploaded to any public or private platform;

  • Used to create derivative works or competitive products.

Any violation of these conditions may result in immediate termination of access without refund and possible legal action.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials provided through BHBI—including text, videos, images, logos, documents, PDFs, quizzes, and other course content—are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any content from BHBI without express written consent.
Unauthorized use of our intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

6. Payment and Refund Policy

All course fees are due in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated.
Because our courses provide immediate access to digital content, all sales are final.
Please refer to our Refund Policy for more details.
BHBI reserves the right to change prices, payment options, or promotional offers at any time without prior notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our courses and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, BHBI makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Specific results or employment outcomes,

  • Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of materials, or

  • Continuous, error-free operation of the website or LMS platform.

Your use of the Services is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BHBI and its owners, affiliates, instructors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of income, data, business opportunities, or goodwill—even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to BHBI for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim.

9. Code of Conduct

Students must engage respectfully and professionally when interacting with BHBI staff, instructors, or other students.
Any abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior may result in termination of access without refund.

10. Termination of Access

BHBI reserves the right to suspend or permanently revoke access to any user who violates these Terms, misuses course materials, or engages in conduct detrimental to the platform or community.
In such cases, no refund will be issued.

11. Updates to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website.
By continuing to use the Services after such changes, you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pima County, Arizona.
